Coco Ichibanya Yokosuka Honcho 3-Chome in Yokosuka

This place is amazing. The picture I uploaded shows a take out container of fried chicken with scrambled eggs. You can add all kinds of stuff into the dish alacart style. They have a spice rating from 1 to 10. I normally do level 2 and it is nice and spicy.

Ppl love this places but to me it ain't that great

So to start, this is the worse of the two CoCos in Yokosuka. This shop is always crowded, understaffed, loud, takes forever to get your food, and they have messed up my order 2 of the 3 times I've went recently.If you want your Japanese curry experience to be in the equivalent of a truck stop gas station, go here. If not, go to the other CoCos.Sidenote:Also when they messed up my curry, I asked for vegetarian curry with mild spice. They brought me back pork curry and when I asked they said "mild is only pork", they never told me before I ordered and gave me a Japanese receipt that my friend (luckily) could read. If it said anywhere on the menu, or someone who was taking my order would have said mild spice means pork curry, than I would have changed the damn spice, vegetarian means a lot more to me than a mild flavor.The feeling I get from here is like a McDonalds in the states, nobody wants to work there, they are just doing the bare minimum to get by.

Great service, food came out quick and tasted great. Their curry is always on point. I’ve been to CoCo’s before, but this was my wife’s first time and she enjoyed it. The meals here are always decent prices, and comes out pretty quick. The service here is pretty good. CoCo’s is the place to go for Japanese curry.

I’m giving CoCo Curry a 5 out of 5 because Ben loves CoCo Curry. When he goes there, he fills up his special cardboard box with curry, and he whistles a lot too.

My 2nd favorite curry place (only because gogo has amazing naan) but insanely fast service, incredibly friendly, and just plain delicious. Fair warning the spicr levels here are much more intense than the ones in the US.

It’s cocos curry. You literally cannot go wrong. It is a staple in Japan and while a lot different than Indian curry, it is Magnificat. Be carefully with spice levels though, I generally love spicy foods but I can’t do more than about a 4 or 5 but then again I also like to enjoy my food when spicy.

This place is the go-to for a quick bite with quick turnaround and American sized portions!

There's very limited seating so it's better to order take out. Staff are friendly and try to work with you despite the language barrier. Although there is a vegetarian menu, only 2 items are truly vegetarian: vegetarian curry (NOT vegetable curry) and allergy free curry. The rest of the menu items are made with beef curry. I like how you can customize the amount of rice and how spicy you want the curry. I'll definitely be visiting this place again, but most likely for take out.

there meat meatball filled with cheese hotness level 5 was delicious the next day I came back and I had their chicken patty with vegetables hotness level 6 and it was even better and the day after that I went back and I tried beef Curry with vegetables level hotness 7 it was delicious

A staple of Japan. Never had anything I didn't like, they have different menus during the year and they are all really good. There's lots of options, chicken, beef, pork, seafood, veggie for your vegetarian friends. They also do take out which is really nice. Their pickled ginger is unique and delicious

It's not even the greatest curry ever, but man I went to Coco's at least once a week. It's just too damn convenient. On my last day in Japan I overstuffed myself on 500g rice with the fancy tonkatsu with extra ginger. 10/10 fast food, I miss it already.

Great tasting japanese style curry!

Good for a fast food curry. However if you are craving a more homestyle Japanese curry that is richer, thicker and darker in flavor you might be a little disappointed. It hits the spot for a quick, comfort style meal.

My food was delicious! Every bite was memorable. You have to try it. I love that the heat comes in levels from 1 to 10. I stayed at 1 and it was still spicy and delicious. You have to try it!

We love Coco's Japanese curry. The variety is awesome and we always enjoy it. The price is right too.

One of the most favorite places to eat for many foreigners in the area. With generous portions and options to customize your curry meal, Coco Ichibanya offers a pretty good meal. It is also a favorite of party goers as a cure for hangovers.

No ambiance, but very delicious. I got 3 of 10 on the spicy scale and it had good heat. The portion size is plentiful.

The food is so yummy and the customer service is lovely. Similar to all other little Japanese spots... I truly HATE there is no place to change the baby. Of course Super Mom is going to make something work but jeez. A tiny little table would be lovely. Chicken and Beef Curry... sooo yummy

Such beautiful memories. The delicious 500g rice, The Tonkatsu (O.M.G.!! How freakin' delicious!!), and the curry sauce Lv.5-8. And that yummy bread. I miss it really bad.

Had a Japanese cheeseburger in brown curry sauce with asparagus, tomatoes, and added spinach, with steamed rice. The cheese was inside the burger. It was excellent. The service is great.

Love this place. First time having japanese curry - it is very good. So creamy, and the spice levels are great! I was a little unsure when I first saw it, but one bite & I was addicted.
